Do you have a sewing machine and extra time on your hands?

Our team of HERO SEWISTS make simple 4- to 5-inch bird bases with recycled fabric. These bird bases become canvases for bird conservation artworks handcrafted by people across the country.

ALL LEVELS OF SEWING SKILL ARE WELCOME! Even if your stitches area little wobbly, we need you. Your bird bases will be decorated with colorful fabrics, ribbons, buttons, shells, sequins, & more, so perfection isn't the goal, conservation is!

Why should you get involved?

  • Help save birds

  • Be part of a national art project

  • Show off your sewing skills

  • Practice sustainable artmaking

Make 10 or make 200 bird bases. Fly solo or gather a flock. Every bird base you sew helps our project take flight and helps SAVE BIRDS!
