Host Your Own
Bird-making Workshop

Thanks for hosting a workshop! We’re thrilled you want to help save birds! By bringing people together at your home, school, or community group, you're spreading awareness about bird building collisions and the steps we can take to help protect birds.
Why should I host a bird-making workshop?
Bird-making workshops are great for organizing conversations and learning about bird safety, ecological issues, and sustainability. Not to mention that they are suitable to groups of all ages! It is a wonderful way to engage as a group around a central cause.
This project is a community-driven effort that is made possible because of the participation of others while also educating communities on the topic of bird safety and how we can co-habitat more effectively by making our homes and businesses safer for birds.

Who can host?
Anybody can host a workshop. Most workshops bring together 5 to 35 crafters. So, if you have 5 crafters, you can host a workshop.
Groups that typically host workshops include community groups, church groups, parent-teacher associations, book clubs, running clubs, sewing groups, community gardens.
How do I host a workshop?
It all starts with sending us an inquiry! Fill out the form below to give us some more details about where and when you are thinking about hosting a workshop.
The steps are simple, all you will need:
-
Fabric scraps to repurpose for bird decoration
-
Adhesive fabric glue for construction (tacky glue)
-
Scissors
-
Bird files for guides on which bird types to make
Once the workshop is completed, you will ship all of the birds back to us, and they will be cataloged, tagged, and counted for the final project!
